CHINA-SHAANXI-XI'AN-INFRARED VASCULAR IMAGER-COVID-19 (CN)

A staff member demonstrates the working process of a projective infrared vascular imager at a medical technology company in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, March 6, 2020. Due to the inconvenience for medical workers working under heavy protective suits to conduct injection for patients, the medical technology company in Xi'an has invited a projective infrared vascular imager, which can project the subcutaneous blood vessel on the surface of skin. This technology can clearly identify the subcutaneous superficial vein vessels of the patient and assist in identifying the depth of the vessels, that can greatly improve the medical workers' efficiency. About a hundred infrared vascular imagers have been donated to the hospitals on the frontline of the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic. (Xinhua/Li Yibo)
