LUANDA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Angola envisages the possibility of adjusting economic forecasts, due to the drop in oil prices.
The statement is from the president of the ruling MPLA party in Angola, Joao Lourenco, who is Angola's President ,when speaking at the third ordinary session of the central committee of the party Friday .
"Our forecasts must be rethought, revised and adjusted to this unexpected and unfavorable circumstance, without however abandoning the major commitments to the citizens. The country and international financial institutions that, certainly, will help us to overcome this challenge", he highlighted.
The head of state said the the country has to find new sources of foreign exchange generation.
Lourenco also expressed the need to work effectively in the domestic production of export products and in the diversification of the economy.
