KHARTOUM, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Sudan on Monday decided to close all airports, sea ports and border crossings.

"The committee, in its first meeting today, decided shutting all airports, sea ports and border crossings, excluding flights carrying humanitarian and technical support as well as scheduled air cargo flights," Mohamed al-Faki Suleiman, a spokesman for Sudan's Sovereign Council, was quoted in the statement.

These measures are precautionary to prevent the virus infection and outbreak, he added.

On Friday, Sudan's health ministry announced the death of a Sudanese citizen infected with COVID-19. Enditem
