YAOUNDE, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Central african nation Cameroon reported on Tuesday its first death of COVID-19, according to the minister of public health Manaouda Malachie.
"Unfortunately, we have just recorded our first death from COVID-19 in Cameroon. This is patient 3 who came to us from Italy already very affected by the disease," Manaouda tweeted.
According to previous report, the victim was a 56-year-old Cameroonian living in Italy, and arrived in Cameroon via Paris on March 7 before being declared positive for COVID-19 on March 14, becoming the third case of Cameroon.
