Ghana's COVID-19 cases surge to 68

ACCRA, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's confirmed cases of COVID-19 have climbed to 68, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) said on Wednesday.

While 30 of the cases came from the general population, 38 are travelers quarantined since March 21, the GHS said.

Ghana has put a total of 1,030 travelers under compulsory 14-day quarantine and testing. The country has tested 863 samples.

Health authorities are tracking 829 people who have had contacts with cases under treatment.

So far, Ghana has reported two deaths related to COVID-19.
