CAIRO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Egypt has registered 40 new COVID-19 case, raising the country's total number to 442, health minister Hala Zayed said in a press conference on Wednesday.
The minster also confirmed one death from the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 21.
A total of 93 people have recovered, she noted, highlighting the critical coming three weeks for containing the spread of the coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced a package of procedures to control the spread of the COVID-19 including a partial curfew and extension of schools and universities closure and flights suspension, vowing to punish any violator of the anti-virus measures under emergency laws.
