Singapore reports 52 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Ministry of Health said it had confirmed 52 new COVID-19 cases as of 12:00 p.m. Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the city state to 683.

Among the 52 new confirmed cases, 28 were imported cases and 24 were local cases.

The ministry said a total of 172 patients have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

Previously, Singapore said two confirmed cases had passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
