Nigeria receives medical supplies from Jack Ma foundation

LAGOS, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria has received a consignment of medical supplies donated by China's Jack Ma Foundation, Minister of Information Lai Mohammed said Thursday.

Addressing reporters in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, the minister said the consignment included 100,000 medical masks, 20,000 test kits, and 1,000 protective suits, and face shields to support the country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foundation is making similar donations to all 54 African nations in support of the continent's fight against the virus.

Mohammed told reporters that the face masks and the PPE will be distributed to the front-line health workers while the test kits will be shared among the five test laboratories.
