Sudan announces new COVID-19 case

KHARTOUM, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Health Ministry on Sunday announced a new COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to six.

"The new case is of a man in his sixties who just arrived from the United Arab Emirates," said Sudanese Health Minister Akram Ali Al-Tom in a statement.

Sudanese Information Minister Faisal Mohamed Saleh, meanwhile, announced that the curfew duration will begin as of 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. local time, starting March 31.

On March 23, the Sudanese government declared a partial curfew in all cities nationwide in a bid to prevent the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Enditem
