DAMASCUS, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Two civilians were killed and four others wounded on Thursday by Turkish shelling on a Syrian town in the countryside of the northeastern province of Hasakah, state TV reported.
The shelling targeted areas in the countryside of the town of Tal Tamr in Hasakah's western countryside, said the report.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported the Turkish deadly shelling.
The Turkish forces have been active in northeastern Syria since last October when Turkey and allied Syrian rebels launched a series of attacks on Kurdish-administered areas in northeastern Syria.
