HANGZHOU, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The second team of Chinese medical experts aiding Italy in the fight against novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has returned home after finishing their mission.
The team, consists of 13 medical experts from eastern China's Zhejiang Province, arrived in the city of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, on Thursday afternoon.
The team took a flight to Italy from Shanghai on March 18, carrying with them 9 tonnes of medical materials donated by Zhejiang Province.
In Italy, they worked with their Italian counterparts in the Lombardy region, the center of the outbreak in Italy, for 15 days helping with the prevention and control of COVID-19. They shared their experience of hospital treatment of the infected patients.
During their mission, the team also offered guidance to overseas Chinese in Italy through online consultation.
The team members will undergo concentrated quarantine and observation before joining their families.
