BUDAPEST, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Six Wizz Air aircraft delivering medical supplies from China to Hungary arrived in Budapest on Saturday.

"Today's arrival, thanks to the China-Hungary air bridge, consists of some 4 million masks, more than 400,000 protective clothing, 100,000 goggles, 30,000 pairs of gloves and more than 6,000 plexiglass face shields," Hungarian Minister of Foreign affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto announced on his Facebook account.

The Hungarian low-cost airline is playing "a key role" in supplying protective equipment to Hungary as well as in repatriating Hungarians stranded abroad, said Szijjarto, quoted by local media.

According to official figures, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Hungary stood at 678 on Saturday, with 58 reported recoveries and 32 fatalities.
