BEIJING, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The world is now in a battle against COVID-19, a disease caused by a previously unknown coronavirus that has spread to over 200 countries and regions.

RABAT -- Construction on a field hospital began in Casablanca, Morocco's economic hub, to help deal with the growing number of COVID-19 cases which soared on Monday to 339 in the city out of 1,113 in the country.

The temporary health facility will have a capacity of some 700 beds, said the local authorities of Casablanca in a statement.

JAKARTA -- The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has delayed the Indonesia Open 2020 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, it said in a statement on Monday.

The tournament was previously scheduled to be held from June 16 to 21 at the Istora Senayan sports stadium in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.

VIENNA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- With the coronavirus outbreak in the country under control, Austria aims to gradually ease the exit restrictions and reopen shops and business from mid-April, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced here on Monday.

Small shops up to 400 square meters as well as DIY and gardening supply markets should be allowed to reopen from April 14, while other shops, hairdressers and shopping centers should be allowed to reopen from May 1, said the chancellor at a press conference.
