TOKYO, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks fell slightly Friday morning amid concerns the restriction of people's movements and business activities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic could have a heavy impact on the economy.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged down 18.99 points, or 0.10 percent, from Thursday to 19,326.78.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 7.55 points, or 0.53 percent, at 1,409.43.

Mining, air transportation and rubber product-oriented issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
