About 10,000 second filial generation Chinese sturgeons were released to Yangtze River in Yichang, central China's Hubei Province on Wednesday. The release was the 62nd of its kind by the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute of China Three Gorges Corp, aiming to increase wild stocks of the rare species. The released Chinese sturgeons were born between 2009 to 2019.
