China's Hubei reports no increase in COVID-19 cases

WUHAN, April 25 (Xinhua) -- No newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported in central China's Hubei Province for Friday, the National Health Commission said Saturday.

On Friday, the province reported no new deaths from COVID-19.

The commission said 24 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery in the province Friday, all of whom were in the provincial capital of Wuhan.

By the end of Friday, the province had 553 asymptomatic cases under medical observation, after 20 new cases of the category were reported and 11 others were lifted from quarantine after being ruled out coronavirus infection Friday.

Twenty-three patients remained in hospital in the province.

By Friday, Hubei had reported 68,128 confirmed COVID-19 cases in total, including 50,333 in Wuhan. Enditem
