BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- China Media Group has launched a naming campaign for a Chinese deep-sea manned submersible, which is capable of diving to a depth of over 10,000 meters underwater.
The public can submit their proposed names by sending emails to wanmishenqian@cctv.com, or leaving comments under CCTV's social media posts on Weibo and WeChat.
The manned submersible, developed and built by China, has entered the final trial stage before carrying out a sea test. After completing the test, it will depart for the Mariana Trench, the deepest place of the earth.
Starting from April 22, the campaign will run until May 2. Enditem
