DAMASCUS, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. forces brought 40 truckloads of logistics and weapons into northeastern Syria on Thursday evening, state news agency SANA reported.

The truckloads came from Iraq through the illegal al-Walid crossing and reached the northeastern province of Hasakah, said SANA.

The weapons reached U.S. military bases in the city of Shaddadi in the countryside of Hasakah, it added.

It's the latest shipment to reach U.S. bases in northeastern Syria.

On May 17, Washington sent 50 truckloads of weapons and logistics to U.S. bases in the Rmailan area in northeastern Syria.

The United States has run several bases in northeastern Syria, mainly in areas controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. Enditem
