An eight-member Chinese surveying team will attempt to reach the summit of Mt. Qomolangma, the world's tallest peak, Wednesday. On Tuesday, the team left Camp Two at an altitude of 7,790 meters and plans to reach the assault camp at an altitude of 8,300 meters later in the day. If the weather holds, the team will head for the summit in the early hours of Wednesday. Meanwhile, two mountaineering guides will provide support from the assault camp.
