Vietnam records no new COVID-19 cases, 327 in total

HANOI, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported no new cases of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, with its total confirmed cases remaining at 327 with no death so far, according to its Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, six more patients were confirmed to have totally recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total cured cases to 278 as of Wednesday, according to the ministry.

One of these patients is a 64-year-old female who received extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and suffered from cardiac arrest three times during treatment, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The country has recorded no local transmission for 41 straight days while there are nearly 9,800 people being quarantined and monitored, according to the health ministry. Enditem
