ACCRA, May 28 (Xinhua) -- The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in Ghana has increased to 7,303, with 186 more cases confirmed as of Thursday morning, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) said.
The GHS said on its COVID-19 portal that 95 more infected people have recovered, increasing the number of recoveries to 2,412, while the number of deaths remains at 34.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the West African country stands at 4,857, GHS said.
Ghana has taken a series of steps to restrain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic including keeping its entry points shut to prevent imported cases. Enditem
