KIEV, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine reported 429 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, taking its total to 22,811 confirmed cases and 679 deaths, the country's health ministry said.
As of Friday, 1,693 children and 4,411 health workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while 8,934 patients have recovered,
The number of patients who have recovered from the virus exceeded the number of new cases registered in the past 24 hours in 15 out of 24 regions of Ukraine, according to data published on Friday by the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council.
