TEHRAN, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Three Iranian border guards were killed on Friday by gunmen in Iran's northwestern province of West Azerbaijan bordering Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, Press TV reported.
The guards were killed in the clashes erupted at a border post near the city of Sardasht, according to the report.
In the gunfight, an unidentified number of the assailants were also killed, it added.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. Enditem
