Zambia reports 32 new COVID-19 cases, 1,089 in total

LUSAKA, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Zambia reported 32 new COVID-19 cases in the last five days, bringing the cumulative cases to 1,089, health authorities said on Monday.

The country conducted 3,961 tests in the last five days from which the 32 cases were picked from.

And 133 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 912.

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Kennedy Malama said that the country has increased the number of testing sites to six, a move that will enable them to test more samples and improve on the time of releasing results. Enditem
