KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia services exports reached an all-time high by recording 169.8 billion ringgit (about 39.81 billion U.S. dollars) last year, official data showed Friday.
Malaysian Statistics Department said in a statement that the growth was underpinned by favorable performance in travel, air transport and professional services.
Meanwhile, imports increased marginally to 180.7 billion ringgit, from 179.9 billion ringgit, led by the outbound activities and other business services.
Malaysia's total trades in services grew by 2.4 percent year on year to 350.5 billion ringgit last year. It made up 23.2 percent of Malaysia's total gross domestic product for 2019. (1 U.S. dollar equals to 4.26 Malaysian ringgit) Enditem
