YANGON, June 10 (Xinhua) -- A group of four men robbed a bank in Sittwe, capital of Myanmar's Rakhine state on Wednesday, a military spokesperson told Xinhua.

The armed men threatened bank staff with knives and took about 180 million kyats (128,571 U.S. dollars) at a branch of Kanbawza (KBZ) bank in Sittwe at about 04:15 p.m. local time, said a release by the Military True News Information Team.

"One of them was captured within an hour after the robbery, with others on the run," said Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun, secretary of the Military True News Information Team.

Further investigations are being carried out by the local authorities to capture the rest, he added. Enditem
