SARAJEVO, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Edin Dzeko, the captain of both Serie A side Roma and the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team, posted an emotional comment about parenthood on social media on Friday, drawing rave reviews.
"I am always connected to my family, the strongest chains that exist in this world. My family is everything to me and I am especially sensitive to my parents, especially after I became a father myself," read the post.
"Today I am a father and as I come home after training and games, I only have one thought of how I will hug my kids. Thank you father for showing me how a real father should act, and I hope I have made you proud," Dzeko continued.
At the end, Dzeko emphasized that no result, no goal, nothing in this world will ever be more powerful, valuable and more important than children.
Dzeko has also posted two pictures of himself with his three-year-old son and his elderly father.
Dzeko's comments drew a flood of praise from his fans.
"Hats off, there are few people who are not spoiled by money. I am happy that our Edin recognized the purpose of life, which is why he is a Diamond," one of them wrote.
