You Guangming, 63, was born in Gongyi City, where the historical Gongxian Kiln was located, and has been interested in the making of porcelain wares since childhood. The Gongxian Kiln is a major site for tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), and You leads his group to pass forward the ancient making skills of porcelain wares. With the business development from a workshop to a company, You made continuous efforts in procelain making and research. Now he has finished over 100 replicas of the typical porcelain wares of the Gongxian Kiln. The artistry of Gongxian Kiln porcelain was listed as provincial intangible cultural heritage in 2015.
