ULAN BATOR, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia has reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking its total to 219, the country's National Center for Communicable Disease (NCCD) said on Friday.

"A total of 171 tests for COVID-19 were conducted across the country on Thursday and three of them were positive," the NCCD's head Dulmaa Nyamkhuu told a daily press conference.

The newly confirmed cases are Mongolian students who took a chartered flight on Thursday to return home from Russia, Nyamkhuu said.
