QINGDAO, China, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang Golden Bulls smashed Bayi Rockets 96-79 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Friday.
Lu Wenbo led Zhejiang with 22 points. Center Zhu Xuhang contributed double figures with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while guard Wu Qian added 20 points and a game-high nine assists.
Arslan came off the bench to score a team-high 20 points for Bayi; center Zou Yuchen added 17 points.
Zhu Xuhang made four of seven attempts in the first quarter, giving the Golden Bulls a 29-16 lead into the second quarter. Bayi stormed to a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to six points after Arslan made both free throws, but Zhejiang still led 50-41 into halftime.
Wu Qian was unstoppable outside of the three-point line in the third quarter, though he missed both three-pointer attempts in the first half. The Chinese national guard made six three-pointers in a quarter, helping Zhejiang led 79-64 into the last quarter and quickly sealed the victory.
In the next round, Zhejiang will face Liaoning Flying Leopards on Saturday and Bayi will encounter Xinjiang Flying Tigers on Tuesday. Enditem
