HONG KONG, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported on Saturday one new case of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong to 1,197.
The newly reported case involves a 39-year-old female who had a travel history to the Philippines during the incubation period.
The asymptomatic woman arrived in Hong Kong on Friday, and was then transferred to a hospital from AsiaWorld-Expo, a venue near the Hong Kong International Airport where a temporary specimen collection center for inbound travelers has been set up.
The CHP's epidemiological investigations and relevant contact tracing on the confirmed case are ongoing.
According to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority, as of Saturday noon, 1,095 patients with confirmed or probable infections have been discharged, while 95 confirmed patients are hospitalized in nine hospitals, including one in critical condition. Enditem
