ISTANBUL, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Internet cafes and gaming halls across Turkey reopened on Wednesday with a series of measures as the government has been gradually relaxing COVID-19 restrictions.
These businesses are obliged to take precautions set by the Health Ministry's Scientific Committee, including carrying out regular disinfection, wearing masks and following the social distancing, the Interior Ministry said in a notice.
The customer capacity has to be determined according to the distancing rule, it added, noting further measures should be taken to reduce contact between the tables and units with components such as transparent covers or glass walls.
Tables, chairs, computer screens, keyboard and mouse, game consoles, and all other equipment and materials will be cleaned with alcohol after each use, and wearing masks inside would be obligatory, according to the new rules.
Related authorities will also inspect the venues at least twice per month, the notice said.
The government launched a partial normalization process in a controlled manner at the beginning of June. Many businesses, including restaurants, cafes and sports facilities, have since started operation.
