Brush fire half contained in San Francisco Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A brush fire that started Saturday night in Santa Clara County, U.S. state of California, was half contained by Sunday noon, according to Cal Fire officials.

Cal Fire officials said the fire burned 343 acres in the east of Morgan Hill of Bay Area's Santa Clara County, and its progress was halted with help from aircraft. The containment had reached 50 percent by 11:30 a.m.

The fire has forced residents to evacuate near Anderson Lake County Park, and its cause has not been determined. Enditem
