Bulgaria's COVID-19 recoveries reach 3,000

SOFIA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 recoveries in Bulgaria has risen to 3,000 after 85 more patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed infections has reached 5,914, an increase of 174 over Monday morning, the ministry said.

The death toll has risen to 250 as four more patients have died in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.

It added that 470 patients are currently hospitalized, with 29 in intensive care, while the number of infected medical workers has reached 456.

Bulgaria confirmed its first COVID-19 cases on March 8, and the first three COVID-19 patients were discharged on March 21. According to official figures, the number of recoveries reached the 1,000 mark on May 29, and 2,000 on June 20. Enditem
