FRANKFURT, July 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 121.99 points, or 0.97 percent, to close at 12,494.81 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 11.75 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive supplier Continental and aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero, which shed 3.81 percent and 3.71 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE gained 1.10 percent, becoming the top gainer. Deutsche Post and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel advanced 0.80 percent and 0.52 percent respectively.
Reinsurance company Munich Re was the most traded share with a turnover of 203.0 million euros (229.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
