PARIS, July 8 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.24 percent, or 62.60 points, to close at 4,981.13 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 35 lost in the day.
French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault lost 4.61 percent. Another car manufacturer Peugeot lost 4.20 percent. French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe went down by 3.47 percent.
Pernod Ricard, a French company that produces alcoholic beverages, advanced 0.32 percent. France-based 3D product design company Dassault Systemes rose 0.19 percent. French omnichannel company Teleperformance rose 0.18 percent. Enditem
