KIEV, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers (CMU) has terminated the memorandum on cooperation in the anti-terrorism sphere between the Ukrainian and Russian governments, the CMU's press service said Wednesday.

The decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, it said, explaining that the cooperation between Ukrainian and Russian special services does not meet the national interests of Ukraine in the current climate.

The memorandum was signed between the two countries on July 12, 2012, in the southern Ukrainian city of Yalta.

Relations between Kiev and Moscow began to deteriorate in 2014 due to the Crimean issue and the armed conflict in the Donbass. Over the last six years, the two countries have suspended or terminated several dozen contracts made between them. Enditem
