PARIS, July 10 (Xinhua) -- French shares gained on Friday with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.01 percent, or 49.47 points, to close at 4,970.48 points.
A total of 33 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics advanced 5.14 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault rose 3.77 percent and European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus added 3.53 percent.
France-based 3D product design company Dassault Systèmes lost 0.70 percent. French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe edged down 0.33 percent, while multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi shed 0.29 percent. Enditem
