BEIRUT, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's number of COVID-19 infections increased on Thursday by 156 cases to 3,260, while the death toll remained at 43, the National News Agency reported.
Health Minister Hamad Hassan urged the international community to help Lebanon overcome the tough period, calling on all doctors and nurses to be prepared for any emergencies.
A day earlier, Hassan said 20 percent of the coronavirus infections in Lebanon have unknown sources.
Lebanon has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21.
Last month, China offered 17,500 masks, 1,500 protective suits, 1,320 goggles and 1,000 shoe covers to Lebanese public hospitals to help Lebanon fight the pandemic. Enditem
