QINGDAO, China, July 27 (Xinhua) -- With three players scoring over 20 points, the Shenzhen Aviators overcame the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 107-96 in the last round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season here on Monday.

Shenzhen has been ruled out of the playoffs several rounds ago, while their opponents have secured a berth with a top-six rank.

Both sides exchanged punches shortly after the tip-off as the first quarter ended with Shenzhen leading 25-24. In the second quarter, the scores remained rather close as both teams rained shots outside the free-throw areas. Shenzhen continued to clench a one-point lead by the end of the first half.

The two teams maintained momentum in the perimeter in the third quarter, which ended with the sides tied 70-70. The match was tied again midway through the fourth, but Shenzhen launched a 12-0 spurt soon afterwards and grabbed a victory to end their journey in this unusual season.

Five Aviators players scored double-digits, with He Xining grabbing a game-high 22 points, six rebounds and four assists. Fu Lei had a team-high of 19 points for Zhejiang.

After finishing their last game of the 2019/20 CBA regular season, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls rank sixth on the standings while Shenzhen is 13th. Enditem
