Track laying for a railway linking Fuzhou and Pingtan in east China's Fujian Province completed on Tuesday. With a maximum designed speed of 200 km per hour, the 88.4-km railway will be ready to be put into operation by the end of 2020. About 79 percent of the railway consists of tunnels and bridges, including the world's longest cross-sea road-rail bridge, Pingtan Strait Road-rail Bridge.
