CAIRO, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The recently published third volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" provides lessons on wise governance and a better understanding of the principles and developments of the Communist Party of China (CPC) under Xi's leadership, said one expert.

"I believe the third volume is extremely important for it shows the political compass of China and the development of the ruling CPC and the state under Xi's leadership," Hussein Ismail, deputy editor-in-chief of the Arabic version of China Today magazine, told Xinhua in a recent interview.

Published in both Chinese and English, the volume collects 92 articles, including speeches, conversations, instructions and letters by Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, between Oct. 18, 2017 and Jan. 13, 2020.

The volume also contains 41 photos of the Chinese leader during the same period.

Among the topics highlighted in the third volume is Xi's concept of "a community with a shared future for mankind."

Ismail said that Xi believes that the planet is the common home of humanity who should work together to face massive global challenges, such as the raging COVID-19 pandemic.

The concept is in accordance with China's foreign policy and the initiatives proposed by Xi, such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), said the Egyptian expert.

Ismail said that the BRI is contributing to the development of many countries, including Egypt.

Ismail pointed out that under the BRI, China State Construction Engineering Corporation is building a massive business district in Egypt's new administrative capital.

"Chinese investments in Egypt have notably increased since the launch of the initiative, which has positive reflections on the economic relations between Egypt and China," Ismail told Xinhua.

The expert said that the book can help the world better understand how the CPC has combined the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's own reality.

World leaders can learn from China how to adapt imported ideas to suit their countries' culture, history, and domestic conditions.

The new volume also highlights Xi's vision on environmental protection.

Ismail said that China's environmental conditions have greatly improved and the country has lived up to its commitment to tackling climate change.

"The volume highlights Xi's broad vision, deep knowledge and sound wisdom in running the country's affairs, as well as his accurate understandings of international politics and the relations between China and other countries," he added. Enditem
