NEW YORK, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- The United States has reported a further 67,000 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the country's total number of infections to 4,562,170, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Meanwhile, the country's death toll has climbed by 1,259 to reach 53,320.
