LIMA, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Peru on Sunday reported 428,850 cases of COVID-19 after 3,657 new cases of infection were detected in the previous day.
The country's COVID-19 death toll rose to 19,614, according to the Health Ministry.
Health authorities have conducted 2,404,046 tests to detect the virus. Of those who tested positive, 13,743 people required hospitalization, including 1,410 on ventilators in intensive care units.
