MEXICO CITY, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Mexico's health ministry reported on Wednesday 829 new COVID-19 deaths, taking its national toll from the pandemic to 49,698.

Meanwhile, 6,139 new cases were reported, bringing the total in the country to 456,100, according to the ministry.
