Iran's security forces arrest person linked to sound bomb explosion in SE

TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Iran's security forces have arrested a person linked to recent explosion of a sound bomb in the Iranian Zahedan city in the southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, the regional headquarters of Iran's Islamic revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Saturday.

Further measures are underway to arrest other elements behind the "terrorist" explosion, a statement by the IRGC's regional headquarters was cited as reading by Tasnim news agency.

On Wednesday, the sound bomb blast next to a police car patrolling Zahedan's Zibashahr neighborhood injured four policemen.

In the meantime, official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday that the Iranian security forces have arrested members of a "terrorist" group in the Sistan and Baluchestan province.

The "terrorist" team had caused fear and panic among people in the province, the report said. Enditem
