KUWAIT CITY -- Kuwait on Saturday reported 472 new COVID-19 cases and three more deaths, raising the tally of infections to 71,199 and the death toll to 474, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
Currently, 7,919 patients are receiving treatment, including 125 in ICU, the statement added.
The ministry also announced the recovery of 476 more patients, raising the total recoveries in the country to 62,806.

HANOI -- Vietnam reported a total of 26 new cases of COVID-19 infection on Saturday, bringing its total confirmed cases to 810 with 10 deaths from the disease so far, according to its Ministry of Health.
Three cases have recently entered Vietnam from abroad and were quarantined upon arrival while the rest were recorded domestically, said the ministry.

LUSAKA -- Zambia's COVID-19 cases reached 7,903 as the country continued to see a surge in cases, its health ministry said on Saturday.
The country recorded 416 new cases in the last 24 hours from 1,003 tests conducted, according to Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya.
Speaking during a daily COVID-19 update, the health minister said the country also recorded three more deaths during the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 203 while six patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 6,431.

TAIPEI -- Two people tested positive for COVID-19 in Taiwan Saturday, raising the island's total number of COVID-19 cases to 479, the local epidemic monitoring agency said.
The new patients, a couple, both developed fever, cough and running noses in the Philippines but did not go to the hospital there, the agency said in a press release.

TRIPOLI -- The National Center for Disease Control of Libya on Saturday announced 200 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country so far to 5,079.
Eight new recovered cases and one new death were reported, bringing the total recoveries to 660 and death toll to 108, the center said in a statement.

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection reported 69 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong above 4,000.
