SARAJEVO, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Fosun Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Shanghai, China, has donated 4,800 PCR test kits to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), state-run media Fena reported on Wednesday.
The donation was made in accordance with a deal signed by the foundation and the ministry on July 8, Fena reported.
According to Xie Yu, commercial counselor at the Chinese embassy in BiH on Wednesday, the test kits would be distributed to two entities in BiH, namely the Republika Srpska (RS) and the Federation of BiH (FBiH), as well as to the Brcko District.
In breakdown, 2,827 test kits were delivered to the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo of FBiH, 1,733 to the Institute of Public Health of the RS and 240 to the Public Health Subdivision of the Brcko District, Klix, another local media outlet reported.
So far, a total of 14,961 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in BiH, with 453 deaths. Enditem
