ULAN BATOR, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Three young men have drowned while swimming in a river in Selenge province in northern Mongolia, the country's National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported on Tuesday.

"The three men aged 22, 23 and 24 drowned while swimming in Orkhon river on Monday afternoon," NEMA said, adding that the search for the bodies is still ongoing.

There have been several drowning accidents across the country in recent days, the emergency agency said, urging the public to prevent potential accidents.

Around 80 people have been killed in water-related accidents across Mongolia so far this year, according to the agency. Enditem
