BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's National Healthcare Security Administration on Wednesday started to solicit public opinion on a draft guideline to improve the individual medical insurance for urban employees.
At least 50 percent of the expenses of outpatient services for all insurance participants will be covered by the medical insurance after the reform, according to the guideline.
The insurance participants can also use individual accounts to cover their spouses, parents, and children, according to the document.
Up to 329 million employees have joined the medical insurance system so far, and the medical insurance fund accumulated in the individual accounts reached 827.6 billion yuan (119.8 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
